About Us

The Charles Town West Virginia Chapter of the American Payroll Association (CTWV) started the formation exploration in the summer of 2009. In the fall of 2009, an email was sent to approximately 1,000 people in the area to gauge interest in the chapter. The CTWV chapter affiliated with the National APA in April 2010. The first formal formation meeting was held on June 18, 2010, with 15 people in attendance. The first official chapter meeting was on September 10, 2010. CTWV chapter continues to grow and holds educational chapter meetings regularly. Additionally, since inception, the CTWV has been active in our community. over the years, we have participated in Wreaths Across America, Potomac Watershed Cleanup, and KIDZ Power Pacs to name a few. The founders of the chapter were Robyn Underwood, CPP, Vivian Hoffmaster, CPP, Deborah Griffith and Support from the WMAC, Daniel Dycus, CPP and Linda Dailey, CPP.

The Charles Town West Virginia Chapter of the American Payroll Association (CTWV) is affiliated with American Payroll Institute, Inc. (dba American Payroll Association) but is an autonomous and independent organization.  American Payroll Institute, Inc. is not responsible for the liabilities, statements, or activities of any of its affiliated chapters.
