The New Form W-4 Update with Review and Calculations

While finishing out 2019 brings with it common year-end challenges, payroll professionals all over the United States in 2020 will be implementing unprecedented changes. Changes not just in how withheld income taxes are calculated and processed due to the tax code overhaul of 2017, but also in terms of who is exempt from overtime pay. The presentation will discuss the preparations for these changes and also will cover continued cyberattacks targeting payroll operations, the trend to daily pay options, and how states and localities are implementing various payroll-related requirements, to include new taxes, paid leave, and minimum wages.  Once the upcoming changes are covered, the meeting will end by providing an engaging period of federal withholding tax calculations based on various scenarios.
